49ers’ draft picks: Projecting 2018 first round, late-round sleepers

If they want, the 49ers could afford to wait and pass on Ateman because Tate checks the boxes of what they need in a specialized, big wide receiver. The knock on Tate (6-5, 228 pounds, 4.68 40-yard dash) is his lack of speed. San Francisco can look past that, though, because it already has the track star Goodwin and quick-footed Garcon. The 49ers know they need to finish a lot more drives in 2018 and Tate would provide sneaky-good help in the red zone.

The 49ers’ offseason has been quiet in relation to those of the Cardinals facing big changes, the Seahawks losing big names and the Rams making big trades, but taking care of Garoppolo and getting some core defensive pieces allows Lynch to manipulate the draft to get the next wave of complementary pieces.

The Jaguars don’t truly need anything in this draft, as they’re set across the entire roster. But they do have a chance to come out of the draft set up better for success.

The beauty of having all that talent in place already is the ability to find those role players. That should be the main focus of Jacksonville’s draft.

Linebacker: The one hole on the Jaguars’ roster is at inside linebacker, where now-retired Paul Posluszny once led the defense. The team still has young stars Telvin Smith and Myles Jack for the outside spots, but as of now, 2017 fifth-rounder Blair Brown is the likely starter for the middle.

Offensive Line: Jacksonville has a solid overall line that got even stronger with the addition of Andrew Norwell in free agency. With the Jaguars’ ground-and-pound style of offense, though, the line can never be too good, and possible upgrades (or simply more depth) at right guard or right tackle couldn’t hurt.

Tight End: The Jaguars said goodbye to long-time starter Mercedes Lewis this offseason. To replace him, they added Austin Seferian-Jenkins and Niles Paul in free agency, but neither is a sure thing at this point in his Cheap Patriots Jerseys career, and the offense could use a young pass-catcher to help Blake Bortles.

Wide Receiver: The front office in Jacksonville clearly knows how to draft wide receivers. In recent seasons they’ve selected (or signed to undrafted free-agent deals) the likes of Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee, Keelan Cole and Dede Westbrook. They curiously let the pair of Allens go, though, and signed only Donte Moncrief to replace them. Another outside target Cheap Qld Basketball Jerseys would be a logical addition.
